Keuka College students in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, produced concerts to appply what they were studying in their business course. One class produced two concerts in a Saigon cafe as their business project. The class earned $800 net income in the five weeks of the project. They combined this income with the other three classes to purchase food and gifts for children in a local hospital.
This was one of many examples of experiential learning, and particularly project-based learning, involving these students. Keuka College adjunct instructor Paul McAfee taught the students, having them run a business to develop deep learning from their courses.
